At first, theses expound the current research about the calculation method of Probable Maximum Precipitation and Probable Maximum Flood,list different kinds of calculation method about theory and application and analyses their merits and faults.Then, taking the five valleies upwards Sichuan Nuclear-Power Station for example,the method are applied to evaluate PMP,PMF and region PMF, which are Local Pattern and Displace Pattern.Then, the computations of PMP for Sichuan Nuclear-Power Station in computational means of Local Pattern and Displace Pattern are elaborated in this paper. The Local Pattern includes methods of Enlargement of Vapor Efficiency and Enlargement of Vapor & Wind Speed.The Displace Pattern displaces the "81.7"seldom and extraordinary storm,meanwhile,the storm is Enlarged with methods of Enlargementof Vapor.The reformation of transposition storm includes basin shape,water vapor andheight.According to the different kinds of calculation method of PMP which are applied in some other production-projects,we recommend the Displace Pattern for PMP at the contition allowed.Moreover, we put PMP in compare with PMP of each type hydrotechnics home and abroad,analyze the rationality,and then recommend more reasonable and reliable result.We use Xin'anjiang model as schemes of yield runoff & affluxion. Then we establish the schemes of yield runoff & affluxion according to local data of downpour and flood. And compute the regional PMF and PMF at the location of the nuclear-power station base on the regional combination of the Probable Maximum Flood.At last, we analyze the rationality for the outcome of regional and plant site PMF calculationsand put them in compare with PMF of each type hydrotechnics both home and abroad The research findings of this paper will provide guidance for the preliminary design of Sichuan Nuclear-Power Station.The achievements of this paper will directly provide guidance for design criterion for Sichuan Nuclear-Power Station, and the method for PMP are applicable to other similar region.
