Element free Galerkin method is a new numerical method, more important, Moving Least Squares Method fit of the market function is used in this method. Therefore the calculation only needs to solve the border region and the Department of node information, without the need of any unit information. Compared With the finite element method, the element-free Galerkin method in solving some of the mechanical problems has unique advantages, and has become the traditional finite element numerical analysis of important complement and development. This article introduces the research history of Mesh-free methods and current state of Mesh-free methods describes the principle of Moving Least Squares Method and Derivational Process of EFGM controlling equation. Then element-free Galerkin method procedures is made, and influence factors of the basic function, the weighting function, radius of influential domain and node density and other factors on the accuracy of solution are discussed. In the end, an example was took part in to illustrate the correctness of the program.Discussion and summation of the various existing Application of EFGM-FEM coupling method are made. The advantages and disadvantages of these methods are commented. The initial coupling computer program is made based on coupling method brought forward by Belytschko and Organ. Finally, the feasibility of this method is verified by cantilever examples. Finally, Xixi River hydropower station is analyzed by EFGM program, and the finite element calculation results of the comparative analysis show that the calculation model is reasonable and the program is correct.
