This subject is a single axle turntable for shell emulation. The emulation turntable is designed for wind-tunnel emulation test of some type missile. According to requested it was finished to set up the emulation turntable and to design software and hardware of the control system. The emulation turntable mainly included the shell pivot, electromagnetic clutch and 3-phase hybrid step motors which have high-accuracy turning and locking ability by itself. Because the experiment environment of wind-tunnel is abominable, the strong anti-interference industry computer combine with motion control card was adopted to control the system. A more subdividing and high-accuracy driving circuit had designed. Combining the dynamic link libraries, the control procedure of the turntable with Visual Basic software was coded. And, it had produced the visual human machine interface that is easy to operate friendly.There are seven chapters totally. Chapter two in the paper has proposed the final design plan of the emulation turntable through the comparison missile emulation's overall scheme and the analysis of missiles receive strength situation. Chapter three introduces the detailed one to operation principle,performance index and organization's characteristic of the step motor which is the important part of the device. Chapter four and five introduces the design of the device's hardware and software. Chapter six has finished the overall installation and function test of the device. Finally, the experiment work very well and show up excellent results as designed.
