The steel framework is one of the commonly used structural systems in modern constructions. During the 1994 Northridge and 1995 Kobe earthquake, the typical beam-column connections in steel moment-resisting frame suffered brittle failures. After the two erthquakes,beam-column connections and its influence on the steel frameworks' seismic behavior became one focus.Reduced beam-column connections are one kind of these new style connections ,the familiar style include the Reduced beam section(Dog -bone) and the Weakend web. These new styles connections in order to make the plastic hinge moved out wothout reducing carrying capacity of beam-column connections obviously, and to protect the brittle connection area. then the ductility of the connections can be improved and the ductile design on steel frame can be realized. This paper use big finite element program to analyse many models with different parameters of the two types reduced beam-column connections. The aim is to know every parameter how to influence connetions carrying capacity and the hysteresis behavior. Throngh the research and analisis ,the paper give the reasonable parameters of the two types reduced connections.Through this paper's research ,we can get some conclusions: reasonable reduced parameters to the twe type reduced connections can make the plastic hinge move out to protect the brittle connetions' area, and can without reducing the carrying capacity, seismic behavior obviously, the ductility of connetions can be improved.
