In order to develop design ability of avionics engineering, especially to meet the next generation of fighter's needs for Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA), a research project is put forward, which concentrates on the application of the Line Replaceable Modular (LRM) case and cabinet, this paper just serve the task. This paper has investigated a great deal of literature of the advanced IMA systematic structure. The LRM packaging and interface is discussed and described in details based on the requirement of the digital flight control computer (FLCC) in Fly-by-wire (FBW) Flight control system, three points are discussed: system architecture, function module defining, mechanical interface. The prototype of FLCC has been achieved according to ARINC 650 specification. A new type of Insertion Extraction Device (IED) has been designed and acts to maintain the LRM and cabinet in a fully mated position during shock and vibration. Furthermore, the thermal analysis of power supply module was carried out by ICEPAK software under various dissipation modes. Based on the thermal test, the liquid cooling Cold-Plate was suggested, and In contrast with test value, improved design methods are provided. Good accuracy of analysis is obtained.
