Aimed at the current situation that the round cross-section of the sinking pipe pile limits the full exertion of the potential of pile and soil, Engineer Lu Jianhua invented the Y-shaped sinking pipe pile(the short form: Y-shaped pile) by combining the technique of the large Y-shaped pile abroad and that of the sinking pipe pile at home and changing the round pipe model into the Y-shaped pipe model, thus bringing out the benefits of the high bearing capacity of the abnormal-cross-section and the speedy construction of the sinking pipe pile. As a new technique to improve soft ground, the research on the Y-shaped pile is just at the starting phase, its lateral bearing capacity still doesn't arouse notice in spite of its obvious advantage on the vertical bearing capacity.The plan of this article is as follows:first of all, the field test on the lateral bearing capacity of the Y-shaped pile is done, and its abnormality effect is illuminated by the analysis of the test results; then its bearing capacity is theoretically analyzed on the basis of the test results; finally,FEM is used to simulate the field test and the abnormality effect is further expounded on.Main works in this article are as follows:1.The developing general situation of the abnormal-cross-section and the methods and theories on the lateral bearing capacity are reviewed; the invention and the design of pile model and pile tine are introduced; its constructing way and craftwork process are also expounded on; some suggestions are given on the quality check and control.2. The field test of the lateral bearing capacity is exerted on the two Y-shaped piles from different directions by the self-designed project and its abnormity effect is intuitively illuminated by the analysis to the test results.3.The parameter to be improved is found and the improved method is proposed by computing and analyzing the test results by use of the difference solution of the m-method and comparing the computed results with the test results.4.The reliability of simulation is proved by simulating the test results by ABAQUS FEM, the abnormity effect of the Y-shaped pile is further expounded on by FEM simulation results, and the measures to improve its lateral bearing capacity are also simulated..
