With the rapid development of our country's economy, the problem of energy shortage has been a hard nut to crack around the world. Many cities are short of electricity and other energy sources. Energy consumption in buildings accounts for a large percentage of the total energy consumption, especially for the consumption on the air conditioning system. Reducing the energy consumption in air conditioning system is required to a great extend on the condition of human comfort thanks to the increasing energy shortage and habitants'gradual improvement on the thermal environment and IAQ. Though the energy saving measure of the central air conditioning system should consider the selection of units and allocation of equipments at first, energy saving design of the automatic control system should be more important. This paper deals with how to realize automatic control of the terminal equipment and optimize the terminal automatic control in order to achieve the energy saving operation for the central air conditioning system and save the energy consumption in buildings ultimately.Firstly, this paper introduces the control system that the subject investigated has adopted, that is, general situation of the collector distributor control system, general situation of the project and the integral requirement of the automatic system.Secondly, this paper introduces control of the fresh units. First of all, the supervision and requirement of the typical fresh units are explained. Then, proper monitor modes that are suitable for this project are proposed. For example how to achieve the control of the fresh air temperature and what the relative demand the software and hardware is. Finally, the energy saving measures which can save energy consumption is stated on the base of supervision to the fresh units.Thirdly, this paper introduces the control of air conditioning systems. First of all, the supervision and requirement of the air conditioning units are explained. Then, proper monitor modes that are suitable for this project are proposed. The difference of air conditioning units and fresh units are compared in this paper. Then, the control of fresh units which can be easily got is available to realize control of the air conditioning system's supervision. In addition, how to make use of the fresh air is analyzed and feasible schemes are proposed in this paper.
