In this thesis, we summarize the significance of inspection of buildings for energy conservation and deficiencies of domestic existing inspection methods. The application value of infrared inspection and dynamic evaluation of energy cost are also forecasted in the thesis. We expound the status of infrared diagnoses and researches on moisture transfer both here and abroad and then ascertain the further task.Researches into moisture transfer in clay brick walls; we analyze how a single wall's thickness and initial moisture content affects the rate at which moisture transfer becomes steady. We also research into compound insulated walls with polystyrene foam. The conclusion is as follows: in summer, insulated walls with polystyrene foam affixed exteriorly tend to increase indoor air relative humidity and it's not propitious to improve thermal comfort, and in winter interiorly insulated walls tend to increase indoor air humility and it is propitious to improve thermal comfort.Moisture affects material's heat conductivity coefficient. In practice, different moisture content in walls leads to different temperature fields on their surfaces. Step by step we put forward parameters of quantitative infrared analysis for inspection of existing buildings and evaluation of new buildings. The idea is finally realized by virtue of Excel.Through statistical analysis of large numbers of infrared images, it can be concluded that despite of the surface's figure and area, the temperature on some uniform wall's surface accords with normal distribution. The definition of defective area is consummated. We put forward the notion that temperature's departure from normal distribution in infrared images is caused by defective areas. The calculation procedure is described by virtue of Excel.Based on the researches above, specific quantitative parameters of infrared inspection are put forward. With the help of Statistics and the theory of probability, we analyze the biggest number of rooms should be inspected in indoor inspection. In outdoor inspection, we should use temperature difference to evaluate buildings. In indoor inspection, we should use indoor condensation of...
