SRC-RC composite structure is a kind of vertical irregular structure, so it may include the weak floor due to the discontinuity of strength and rigidity. The seismic behavior of SRC-RC vertical composite structure system of an 8-floor plane frame model was studied in this paper, using time-history analysis edited by finite element program. The four methods including middle transition, the whole floor transition, variable cross-section transition and hybrid transition were verified against the weak problem of transition floor. The study is carried out as following:1. The influences of transition floor situation and steel ratio on the seismic behavior of the structure system were determined under frequently and seldom occurred earthquake.2. The influence of the steel extension height in the transition floor on the seismic behavior was analyzed by the middle transition method. The steel extension height is the 1/3 1/2 and 2/3 column height, respectively.3. The favorable influence created by decreasing the steel ratio of columns in transition floor was studied under seldom occurred earthquake by the variable cross-section transition method.
