Feal seal has been a new sealing technology developing for years, which is mostly used in the sealing of principal bearing cavity and air pathway of aero-engine. It is investigated that the finger seal has good sealing performance and lower cost compared with brush seal. So the finger seal has been concerned especially nowadays. The hysteresis and abrasion performance of finger seal are not solved well till now. The hysteresis and abrasion performance of finger seal are the pivotal factors to the sealing performance and work natural life, and it is paradoxical for both improving. It's known that structural characters which effect on the hysteresis and abrasion of the finger seal are more, and the relation of structural characters and the finger seal performance is complex. So it is necessary and significative for optimization to study the primary and secondary relation of the effect of structural characters on the hysteresis and abrasion of the finger seal and the extent of the relation. This is the background of this research work.As the basic of optimization, the relation of performance of the finger seal and the shape-curve of finger seal, number of finger seals, circumferential spacing and arrangement of axial dimension and the extent of the relation are analyzed in the around.First, the structure of the finger seal is deeply comprehended, then the finger seal is modeled in software ANSYS by parametric method. And this work provides a basic support for the next work. Simulation experiment scheme is arranged to the effect of structural characters on the hysteresis and abrasion of the finger seal by uniform-design which is one of the experimentations with partial factors. By the calculation of FEM method in software ANSYS, the obtained results can reflect the relation between structural parameters and finger seal performances including hysteresis rate and contact pressure. Then, the primary and secondary relation of the effect of structural characters on the hysteresis and abrasion are analyzed by grey relation entropy method. At last, the results are validated by other method which proves that the application of grey relation entropy method in the finger seal is reasonable.The research in this paper gains the relation of finger seal performance and the structural characters and the extent of the relation which provides some theoretical...
