Research On The Radio Block Center And System Simulation

The fast development of computer technology, communication technology, micro-electronic technology and control technology makes it possible to transmit bi-directional and high capacity information between trains and stations through radio. Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) system acquires the rapid development, and it is replacing the original train control system stage by stage. CBTC-Moving Autoblock System (MAS) is high step of Communication Based Train Control system, and it can improve efficiency of railway transportation greatly. Radio Block centre(RBC) is the most important part of ground system for CBTC-MAS.The paper introduce the system structure of CTCS, analyses the structure and functions of the RBC in the Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) system. The block can be moving with the train and changing the length with some reasons in the Moving Autoblock System, so train control system have some characteristic in Moving Autoblock System.The paper presents a project on RBC based GSM-R system of CBTC-MAS. It analyses the structure of RBC, the communication system and the train control method of the system. Radio Block centre includes interior database, train control subsystem, Human-Computer Interaction interface, Interlock equipment interface, GSM-R network interface, Network interface. It also respectively describes the function and working principle of these parts.According to structure and function of the RBC system, designed emulation of RBC system. RBC system is designed and implemented with Borland C++ Builder, based on the Object-Oriented Programming. Interior database of RBC is designed and implemented with SOL2000. Software system is characteristics of friendly interaction interface, multi-function, modular design, good expandability and easy maintenance, on-line graphic presentation, etc. RBC operation simulation environment is composed of RBC system, OBE simulation system, Interlock simulation system with Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN). In RBC operation simulation environment, user can simulate not only single train operation but also multi-train operation controlled by RBC.At last, it summarizes the works of this paper and points out the direction of more studies.
