It is carried on our research in this field from the multi-resident steel structure knot of beam-column research, there are various of knot style including top- and seat-angle steel, top- and seat- angle with double web-angle steel connections, extended-end-plate bolted connections and so on . Some connections, such as I beam - H column connection, H beam- H column connection have been widely analyzed by many researchers, while the character of square cold-forming steel column -H beam connection has been seldom researched or applied. However, the production of Square cold-forming steel column is more efficient than others and lower cost. The Square cold-forming steel column has fine rotational stiffniess in the outside of plane and torision resistance ability. This article will provide the study to the square cold -forming steel column and H-type steel beam connections:1. Analysis and conclusions of the end-plate bolted connections have made. According the findings and the rules of connections, it designs the dimensions of the cold-formed box column to H-beam end-plate connection joints with the tensil and shear capacity of new single direction bolts for the simunations of the finite analysis.2. Based on the elastic-plastic mechanics, by establishing the nonlinear analytical model of square cold-forming steel column and H beam connection with nonlinear finite element method software ANSYS, the behavior of beam-column connections in the single static load was stimulated and analyzed.3. Making use of the simunations findings to draw the correlative factors including end-plate thickness dimensions of end-plate,arrangement of bolts and so on are correlative with are the bearing properties of end-plate connections.4. Based on the results, the moment-rotation meachanism model and the correlative formulation are presented in this paper.In the end, the content of this paper has been summarized and some problems, which need further study have been proposed.
