As a new style structure system , Staggered Truss System is an econ-omical, practical and efficient bearing one in steel structure,with opening greatly and entering deeply as its main feature.However, the theoretical research and engineering practice on Staggered Truss System is still in elementary phase currently, with more problems needing to be deeply studied.Being a part of the research item(ZD200504) in Inner Mongolia University of Technology, The author of this paper is mainly researching the following contents: taking Huhhot for example,through static analysis and Response spectrum analysis, The author of this paper studied the static and dynamic capability of Staggered Truss System when it used different truss form. Results indicated that: the bearing load capability of Vierendeel Truss is the worst. we shouldn't adopt this structure.,unless the span of the truss is not great,the building's storey number is less and aseismatic requirement is not much,otherwise The resistance horizontal force stiffness of blending truss is much larger than its vertical resistance force stiffness;so when we set decussation brace on the Staggered Truss's lengthways frame , not only can the vertical resistance forces stiffness of staggered truss be advanced evidently ,but also can its lengthways story drifts be minished effectively,furthermore , the structure's lateral story drifts can also be minished.If Warren truss which haven't upright brace is used in staggered truss system, we should adopt the reinforce measure to the first floor.At the same time , The author of this paper researched the elasticity-plasticity performance of staggered truss which has different truss form in the 8o classfication of aseismatic performance requirement and II genus field by Nonlinear Static Procedure, and then get the plastic hinge development trend of every case . Moreover,its aseismatic performance was evaluated.Thus ,it can provide evidence for the theoretical design of Staggered Truss System.
