It is a necessary component for the take-up on a belt conveyor, which is correlative with safe running and service life of the belt conveyor. It is very important for the belt conveyor which is large carrying capacity and long distance. The paper analyses the correlation of kinds of belt conveyors' take-ups. On the basis of it, the paper puts forward a new proposal and establishes the mathematical modals about a new hydraulic take-up of the belt conveyor. The simulation analysis of the take-up is applied according to real parameters. The fuzzy PID controller, which is applied to the hydraulic servo control system in the paper, is design. As a hydraulic servo control system is non-linear and time-varying, it integrates fuzzy control with traditional PID control. According to the simulation results, the hydraulic servo take-up of belt conveyor is a quick response and steady running. It overcomes traditional take-up's shortcomings, controls the belt tension, prolongs the service life, and raise working efficiency.
