Energy is one of the most serious problems which the world and Chinese socio-economic development facing .The shortage of fossil fuels and environment problem according, directly influent the implement process of sustainable development strategy of human society in the future. In recent years .our country issued a series policy to encourage developing new energy (such as solar energy) and cut peak fill valley in electricity, this has offered broad prospect for development and application of energy storage. As a pivotal device of energy storage system, the importance of research and manufacture of heat-storing bed is self-evident. Making a heat-storing bed with merits such as economy reasonable and advanced technology will bring significant economical benefit, environmental benefit and social benefit.The research herein based on a new kind of solar energy storage system with phase change material, which uses solar energy as the main energy, and the electricity of valley as assisting, will be the ideal form of the solar energy heating system in the future, the focal point of this text will simulation study heat transfer of Core the system - - heat-storing bed with phase change material . Phase change problem includes the phase change and the heat conduction, and a interface moved between two phase. It's a strong non-linear problem in mathematics, and also to be solved by coupling with the hot media sometime, which result in the difficulty of this problem. The current research concentrates on the condition of constant wall temperature, and most of them calculate with the program written by themselves. The interoperability of the program is poor, and that is not conducive to system design optimization. By introducing modern design optimization software fluent CFD, this article focuses on the simulation of individual energy storage ball with PCM and hot media coupled with cuboid typed heat-storing unit in the plate heat exchange. The study and consequence of this paper divided into 3 parts as followed:First, the author made a screening choose of phase change materials which suit for solar energy storage system, analyzed the numerical simulation to study phase change in thermal storage, and got some main points in FLUENT simulation.
