Surpercapacitors is the chemical storage to the emerging power system components. It combines the high-power of traditional physical capacitor and the high-energy density of chemical batteries, it is a new energy storage components between batteries and electrostatic capacitors. High-performance needs high-performance electrode material. This article highlights the Co3O4 materials prepared at low temperatures, and the use of cyclic voltammetric measurements (CV), constant charge/discharge measurements, X-rays diffraction(XRD), transmission electronic microscope measurements(TEM) and other laboratory testing methods were used to investigate reactive materials and electrochemical research. While this paper is also focusing on the study of reactive substances mixed Co3O4 electrode, electrolyte selected issues.The Co3O4 power was prepared by wet synthesis. Results of X-ray diffraction (XRD) shows that the phase of Co3O4 powder was purely cubic crystal-Co3O4. The electrochemical characteristics of the sample were characterized by CV and constant current charge-discharge tests. The results shows that the capacitance of Co3O4 have outstanding performance. The maximum capacitance can reach to 224.9 F/ g by calculating from the constant current charge/ discharge curves. Discharge/ charge curves are stabilized after 90 cycles and provide 100% efficiency discharged. For the exchange of electrode impedance testing shows that poles equivalent series resistance is only 200mΩ, and after 500 times cycle only increase resistance 50 mΩ.We studied that Ni element doped to Co3O4. The results showed that the adulteration of Ni improves the capacity of Co3O4 5%.Electrolyte of KOH in different concentrations was studied. It is found that capacity of Co3O4 electrode increases with KOH concentration. The capacity reached 304.2F/g in 5mol/L KOH. The different neutral electrolyte was studied. Research shows that nitrate is more suitable to Co3O4 electrode than sulphate.Capacitance property of carbon nanotubes and CNT/ Co3O4 material was studied . When the weight percent of CNT in the composite is 5%, the specific capacitance of electrode is 233.32F/g. Moreover, the addition of CNT increased electrode discharged property of large current.
