With the development of our national economy, China's steel production has come within the first palce in the world now. For this reason, steel structures have been widely applied industry and civil constructions. The steel silo which is one kind of steel structures is a kind of modern special towering structure. Since the steel truss frame as a important part of the steel silo is used for loading and discharge, its theoretic analysis and structural calculation are different from other types of silo and truss frames. Many countries in the world have done a great deal of researches and experiments on it, and have got some consistent conclusion and computing formula, but there are still many different viewpoints about it. That its theoretical studies lag behind its engineering practice affects its further application. A good deal of accidents also shows that it is urgent that systematic theoretic analysis and corresponding experimental study should be done. The researches of this paper is focused on the steel truss frame with finite element software MSC.MARC, considering the practical load combinations of the steel truss frame. This paper is useful for the engineering design of the steel truss frame. Researches have been done in the paper are as follows:1.This paper introduces the development history and forming methods of the steel truss frame of the steel silo, introduces the features of the stored materials and introduces the development history of loading and discharge equipments. This paper has made a summarization on their theories and present situation on experiment researches, and brings forward the lacks in the research of the steel truss frame.2.This paper compartmentalize unit cells of the steel truss frame according to the practical engineering and the characters of loads, and ascertains concrete mode of action about all kinds of loads through the analysis on the steel truss frame.3. This paper is dedicated to analyze the stress intensity and transmutation using the finite element software MSC.MARC, considering the wind load,the vertical pressure of material,the dead weight of steel truss frame,the dead weight of corresponding equipments and so on.4.This paper has conducted the vibration mode analysis of the whole steel truss frame and has calculated the transformation tendencies of the vibration mode for latter dynamic analysis as long as given a special frequency range and numerical value.5.This paper adopts Newmark time integral method to solve kinetic equation and approaches the non-linear temporal dynamic analysis of the whole steel truss frame, considering the motive power of loading and discharge. This paper is dedicated to find its basic law of static and dynamic features, find the dangerous sections under the effect of motive power and assess its stiffness and safety.6.After these systematic researches on the static and dynamic stress characters of the steel truss frame, this paper summarizes the research results and gets some conclusions, and also points out where there are the problems that are worthy of further study.
