Type NJ6826TMF touring passenger car named Tour of Venice is one kind of series passenger car developed newly by Nanjing Iveco Company. In order to realize digitized designs and makes, this paper has carried on the attempt to the NJ6826TMF automobile digitized design utilizing Pro/E, UG and ANSYS software jointly, and has built the realization foundation for its digitized manufacture. The main work of this paper is establishing the 3D model of the whole bus body and implementing the strength analysis, stiffness analysis, modal analysis and road surface spectrum analysis, synthesized considering the geometric properties, physical properties, material properties. The appraisal to the mechanics performance is produced. The suggestion of the structure improvement is put forward based on the analysis result and is adopted by Nanjing Iveco company. To this vehicle overweight problem, The lightweight design plan for NJ6826TMF is put forward, and it can be consulted by the company. The principle of the predigestion in geometry modeling is omitting the function part and the non-load-carrying process structure, and to the big and transition arc, the curve is replaced by straight line using the thought of curve and free-surface segmentation. The physical characteristic of the digital model reflect on remaining the main mechanical characteristic of the objects. The shell element model is used in strength analysis, stiffness analysis and dynamic analysis. The beam element model is used in lightweight design. The main performance parameters are defined according to the material used. The application of the modeling principle makes the remaining of the main structure character and the calculation efficiency from the angle of the numerical simulation.
