With the vehicle retention increasing dramatically in the world, energy and environment problem is becoming more and more serious. Transportation tools with low exhaust and high energy efficiency are urgently needed. The electric vehicle (EV), which is generically economic and environmental friendly, has become the most important hotspot in transportation vehicle research worldwide. EV will become one of most important transportation tools in 21st centuries.Motor drive system is the heart of the EV, is one of the key parts of vehicle and determines the performance of the EV directly. Because the BLDC motor have the simple structure, the movement reliablity, the maintenance convenience, a series of merits that have in AC motor, except that, the BLDC motor has the DC motor's merits, such as operating effectively, not having the excitation loss, having the good capability to adjust velocity and so on. Along with the electric motor control system developping rapidly, BLDC motor drive system has become the mainstream drive system of electric vehicle According to the structure and movement principle of BLDC motor drive system of EV, this paper analyzed the movement characteristic and the velocity modulation principle of BLDC, built the mathematical model of the system, and thoroughly studied the performance of the BLDC motor drive system of EV.In order to enhance the system's performance of BLDC motor drive system of EV, this paper used double closed-loop control plan, taking the speed ring as the outer ring and the electric current ring as the inner ring. In control strategy, because the PID controller has many merits, such as the simple algorithm and the higher reliable etc, in order to satisfy the request of BLDC motor drive system of EV, this paper used the PI control algorithm on the speed ring and the PID control algorithm on the electric current ring.Based on the mathematical model of the system and PID controller, a simulation model is constituted by Matlab/Simulink. The result shows that the drive system has excellent performance.Using TMS320LF2407A of TI Company, which is specific for motor control as core control of system the DSP, a BLDC motor drive system of EV experiment platform is developed. at the same time the hardware and software are designed in this paper.The test result indicated that, the BLDC motor drive system of EV experiment platform designed in this paper have good control performance, this system debugging convenient, the movement is reliable...
