Hexi Corridor, once brilliant, located in the "Silk Road", is the communication center of the exchange of Chinese and Western cultures .It gave birth to the farming civilization and Silk civilization. However, with the process of urbanization in western China, the urban population of Hexi Corridor Gobi oasis increases rapidly, the land, vegetation, water and other resources become more scarce, the ecological environment is more fragile, as a result, the oasis of urban development greatly restricted. The "water" becomes a main development "bottleneck" in such a specific area. How to use the limited water resource of the water landscape, and how to build water landscape to achieve the purpose of improving the living environment, the Hexi oasis is facing an urgent and realistic problem.Oasis always appears at the places where water is ample, the Hexi Corridor oasis is also formed by the slush from Chilian Mountain, and has become the largest agricultural irrigation district. The overall strategic framework of this thesis is the development and utilization of water resources in the Hexi Corridor oasis areas. From the points of irrigation, this paper changes the aspect focusing on irrigation and water harvesting, combines irritation works ,waterscape building, and water environment construction, promote the change from engineering water works to resource ones and the ecological sustainable development water. The optimal allocation of water resources meets the needs of field irrigation, and the aspiration of the people, achieved a win-win objective. This paper's target is the symbiotic development between people and the nature. First, from the respect of specific waterscape building, this paper systematically studies the development direction of the Hexi Corridor's urban water conservancy and water resources, intensively discusses how to respect and protect the ecological environment first, understand and expand the principles of environmental priority, Contextual renewal and people-oriented, in order to advance the symbiotic harmony between urban natural landscape and cultural landscape. All of these measures are of important significance in allusion to the gradually deterioratingecological environment and the vanishing regional culture of the Hexi Corridor. Second, with the analysis to the practical waterscape designs, this paper applies to find out the design methods and planning principles adapt to the regional waterscape construction, hopes to make full use of the water resources of the Hexi oasis and improve the habitual environment. Finally, this paper hopes to provide referrence materials for the related building and studies subsequent.
