At present, with the performance of electric market reform and the greater differencebetween maximum and minimum of load in power grid, it has great value to research theoptimal load dispatch of thermal power plant. Plant optimal load dispatch mathematicalmodel was constructed considering practical constraints in this article;How to determinethe fuel consumption curve of unit was studied in detail;A new approach using particleswarm algorithm to solve the problem of optimal load dispatch was proposed;The basictheory, process and the implementation method of particle swarm algorithm were studied indetail;Some measures were applied to improve the algorithm in order to avoid its weaknessand the algorithm for optimal load dispatch problem in power units and co-generationunits was studied respectively;At the same time,the design idea of optimal load dispatch inSIS was discussed;The optimal load dispatch software was designed and the simulationshowed that the resolution which was proposed in this article has better accuracy and betterfeasibleness It has expansive foreground of application in the actual project.
