With the use of numerical simulation method, the performance of a Heller-type air-cooling system has been investigated. By consulting the air-cooling system employed at Fengzhen Power Plant in Inner Mongolia ,an analytical calculation results bring forth a performance variation relationship and the specific features of the air-cooling tower under natural environment conditions. By the former and latter test of alteration, the conclusion can be drawn that the rebuilt of air-cooling tower on Heller type system is success. The outcome of this work is helpful to Heller-type air-cooling system in design, operation, test and alteration.
