| The reliability engineering is a newly arisen engineering course, an important branch of system engineering. The reliability of the product has become one of the important index sign of measuring the product quantities. The reliability research of the product has the count for much meaning.Fault Tree Analysis is one of the important analysis method of the reliability research, it have some advantage as below: It is very vivid;Do not limit to the system reliability analysis generally;It is a kind of sketch to deduce the method, an logic analysis method for fault affairs under some certain term;It can analysis some particular fault appearance in multiple layers.This paper firstly introduces the development of reliability in detail, its definition, character , the research contents , important meaning and some basic theories of Fault Tree Analysis , Then put great emphasis on to take the generator system to carry on the power output characteristic and the detailed research in principle to the AEG ships electricity station in deep-sea conveyance in Nanjing incorporated company of" gather to celebrate door" Round .On the basis of the hereinbefore analysis and investigation , establishes the top event and takes a Fault Tree Analysis for it after considering production practice and so on .After establishing the original fault tree manually, investigating the reliability of the system, then the tree was compiled into programs in VC++ language and put into computer to make a qualitative, quantitative analysis to obtain the minimal cut sets , the system mean time between faults, the probability of the occurrence of the top event and reliability and unit critical importance .lastly ,on the basis of the qualitative analysis, an application tree was formed after some alteration of the original fault tree . on the basis of the quantitative, this paper also process the intending of the reliability and ascertain the quantity of the spare elements spare boards and the period of maintenance.
