With the development of social economy, the environment problems it brings areincreasing remarkably, particularly near the shore and the estuary where so muchindustrial and agricultural wastewater are discharged and the engineering facilities areset up that they have the very bad influence on that water. Neglecting these to pursuethe economic performance unilaterally will cause the environment quantity of thesedistricts to descend, which will harm the keeping on development of economy .As aresult, in order to keep a balance between the economy development andenvironmental protection, pertinent researches should be conducted, among whichhydrodynamic factor and suspension transporting is essential. In this paper, relevantresearches based on mathematic model were carried out.A numerical simulation platform, based on 2D hydrodynamic model, wasdeveloped in this paper. This platform provides the friendly interface in the style ofWindows, which can easily carry out communication between the person and themachine. The core mold adopts the finite difference method ADI to solve the controlequations, and the wet or dry judgment method is applied to deal with the dynamicboundary. The model is used to simulate the tide movement near the ideal river mouth,which agrees well with the analytical solution. Based on the foundation of thehydrodynamic platform, mathematical model for the diffusion and transportation ofgeneral material was built up, and some related studies towards the sediment whichcan be seen as the "special" pollutant were conducted. At last, typical cases of sourcedisperse and expand sect bed transformation were used to verify the model.The relevant model this paper builds up was applied to two actual projects. Oneis the numerical simulation of the waters around the piers of the new ZhuJiang WestBridge under different project conditions, the result shows that the local water levelrise and the current velocity variation due to the construction of the new bridge iswithin the scope of the engineering security;the other application is the simulation ofthe pouring plans around the harbor industry area. Through the comparison of variousnumerical results, suggestion is that offshore exhaustion could be adopted. However,the actual position for exhaustion must be determined with consideration of itsbenefits economic. The further improvement to this paper establishment ofmathematics model is made with its application to actual engineering projects.
