Setting the axle-box supporting equipment to convenience to multi-man working or fix the spring with man. Setting assistant support equipment which can lift bogie without the effect of the bogie frame parts one another or special hydraulic sets and avoid the bogie recessive breakage. Setting upright guide rail on the side of machine sap wall and steering-snubber on the side of drop wheel car proof in order to keep the proof stability and make the concussion down. Adopting the microcomputer control and PLC technique, we have realized the wheel replacement process semi-automation.In this paper, by comparing with a few of projects of Multi-Purpose Wheel Drop Machine, one of them which according with practice need isascertained and the collectivity of the project .hydraulic system, mechanical structure and control system are designed.The Multi-Purpose Wheel Drop Machine can improve efficiency and security of wheelset changing mostly, reduce the workers' labor intensity, expedite the vehicle turnover, reduce the quantity of the spare cars.
