Recently worldwide, people pay more and more attention to the river ecology —study and application of biological recovery technique. The issue of open ditch rivers to flow through plant is already closely linked to issues of great national economy and of people's livelihood such as environmental protection, river supply water and transfer water, precaution and reduce of flood. So to launch the study of open ditch water to flow through plant flow mechanics has important economy and social effect. According to present domestic and international research current situation, open ditch rivers movement to flow through vegetation issue does not develop completely, there are still a lot of problems not to get effective settlement.It is special that this text combines with national 863 " 15 " great science and technology projects that the Ministry of Science and Technology sets up —Water environmental quality improvement and ecological recovery technique research and demonstration project in Zhenjiang. We select two plastic model vegetation similar to the natural hydrophyte shape of vegetation growing in the project as research objects (one for one of water very for sink water), the research contents are mainly divided into two parts: The research contents are mainly divided into two parts: flexible floating water vegetation impact on flow structure of open channel and flexible sinking water vegetation impact on flow structure of open channel..This text experimental instrument adopts the Laser Doppler Velocimeter (LDV). Itanalyses the flow structure of open channel without vegetation through in the experiment at first, then compares with the effect of flexible floating vegetation and flexible sink water vegetation separately in different flow, different vegetation density to water velocity of flow, move intensity, Renaud stress and the distribution of water depth of rough ratio. Then initial analysis has obtained some laws that two kinds of vegetations influenced to the flow structure, then derive new velocity of perpendicular flow expressional distribute formula according to velocity of flow distributionsituation with flexible sink water vegetation.
