System reliability analysis is an important branch of the reliability engineering. It's usedin system risk estimation and safety prediction for its desirable property displaying in systemdesign, using and development. In recent years, with the development of high technology andthe expansion of new weapon, demands on the reliability of gun system have been upgraded.The paper analyses the reliability of 152 howitzer with Montc Carlo method, and calculatesthe projectile initial velocity of the gun. Firstly, the paper briefs some methods of system reliability analysis. And Montc Carlomethod is importantly introduced. With the comparison of these method in merit and shortingand the feature of gun system reliability, finds Montc Carlo method that suits large-scaleweapon system (gun system) reliability analysis, and analyses the reliability of 152 howitzerwith Montc Carlo method. The paper sets up the mathematics model according to projectileinitial velocity, and composes the procedure with Visual C. The paper gains the better resultwith hypothesis check. It applies a new idea for the reliability analysis of gun system and willbe a broad foreground.
