At present, the domestic technique on side slope protect is short of organic combination between engineering measure and ecological protection. Engineering measures lack the ecological effect, but can prop up slope and strengthen stability of deep layer and surface soil so as to offer the basic environment for vegetation restoration. So, this thesis has studied a kind of method of complex protection, called the Ecological Reinforced Wire Retaining Wall, to integrate ecosystem restoration into engineering measure based on the late research results, which not only can satisfy vegetation restoration of slope, but also form and stabilize the structure system full of ecological effects. Besides, the technique has lots of advantages, such as economizing ground, improving shear-resisting strength, suiting to ground distortion, easy to use, economically priced, bringing a scenic highway and so on. Therefore, the thesis take the test project of the Ecological Reinforced Wire Retaining Wall as the background, and use theory research, tests of the project, and numerical simulation method to analyze mechanical behavior and ecological effect of this technique. The main aspects are as following: (1) Study on the reinforced mechanism of the wall and the characters of wire -soil interaction. The work principle of welded-wire reinforcement, which is proved by triaxial compression test, is to limit its own deformation and reduces horizontal displacement of soil nearby. (2) Research the mechanical response and behavior characteristic of the wall on different modes as a method of numerical simulation by common finite element software ANSYS, and make use of the result of calculation to optimize the structure of the wall. (3) Study on the rapid ecosystem restoration methods of the wall. By probing into some deficiencies in domestic ecology protections, the thesis launch forth on research work about the resource and methods of mixed grass. The technique that this thesis studies on can immediately be applied in project practice, and moreover, the research results can provide important and positive reference to the other slope protections.
