Settlement Calculation And Stability Analysis Of Municipal Solid Waste Landfill

Considering the decomposition effects of microbe in municipal solid waste (MSW) on compression of unit soil. A settlement-calculation formula have been conducted taking account of effect of decomposition of microbe.The result that calculated with this formula is further larger than that with traditional method.The settlement of thirty meter high MSW landfill would mount to about ten meter.Based on the difference of possible surface of slippage ,the theory of biwedges and the program of GEO-SLOPE were used to calculate and analyse stability of slope.Seepage and non-seepage were also considered in the program .The result of calculation shows that under the condition of high underground water table ,the slippage of slope happened.Final .This paper analyses the technology of leachure recycle and thinks it can accelerate the progress of stability of waste landfill.How to value the stability of waste landfill during the management was also considered in the paper.
