Pulsed power technology is widely used in the field of national defense, science research and civil industry. One of the key problems in the pulsed power technology is insulation, which does great contributions to the reliably operation and miniaturization of the system device. With the development of pulsed power research, great attentions have been paid to the insulation problem under the narrow pulse with steep front. Up to now, the research to the insulation characteristics of the dielectric under the nanosecond and even faster pulse still lack sufficient experiment datum. The research to the characteristics of insulation under narrow pulse is very strict to the whole experiment apparatus and it is not easy to obtain valuable experiment datum which rely on the correctly measure and analyze to electrical signal. As one of the important parts of the pulsed power technology, the measurement to the high voltage nanosecond pulse is very easy in basic principle, but because of the complexity in the real measurement problem and the extreme feature of the pulse voltage and current under test, many difficulties arise when the measurement system is designed and calibrated. This thesis is based on the platform of the high voltage nanosecond pulse flashover in vacuum experiment and focused on the later digital signal processing to the sampled nanosecond signal. First, the whole measurement system is calibrated with square pulse generator, then the system impulse response is identified by the input and output calibrated data with least square method, the nanosecond voltage signal is reconstructed by the system impulse use deconvolution method. Second, the wavelet analysis method is applied to the denoising of the nanosecond pulse signal, the optimum mother wavelet is identified through experiment, a new time-variant 3σsoft-threshold denoising method is proposed and compared with the traditional wavelet denoising method. Last, a set of nanosecond pulse automation measurement software is designed which can realize the communication between Agilent oscilloscope of type 54832B and the personal computer.
