In this dissertation formula fuzzy control algorithm is put into the design of PSS. Through the analysis of the Prony algorithm, the Prony algorithm is applied to adjust the parameters of the formula FPSS. A new type fuzzy power system stabilizer is designed. Through a simulation with MATLAB, damping characteristics of the FPSS are analyzed. Based on the result of the simulation and the damping conservation theory in multi-machine power system, a new coordination method is proposed to stabilize multi-mode oscillation of multi-FPSS in multi-machine power system. Simulation of the IEEE 4-machine-11-node system show: the multi-FPSS in multi-machine system can effectively damp Low-frequency oscillation in multi function modes. The multi-FPSS can enhance the system damping and improve the system stability.
