The colorimetric fiber-optic pyrometer based on DSP chip-TMS320F2812has been designed for the need of high temperature measurement in industry. This pyrometer is characterized by high precision and anti-electromagnetic disturbance, and it will be applicated very well in the future.First, this paper introduces the general situation of colorimetric temperature measurement and the characteristic of TMS320F2812 chip. The principles of monochromatic, multispectral and colorimetric thermometry are compared to indicate that colorimetric thermometry has some especial advantages. The basis of choosing the wavelength is studied. And the hardware and the software of the pyrometer have been designed based on the R(T)—T equation. Next, this paper introduces detailedly the principle, design, chosen basis and debugging measure of every hardware module (including pyrometer's optic and electronic parts). The pyrometer's software is explained in detail which is in virtue of the CCS2.0 software and adopts modular methods. And the method of simulating the R(T)—T equation with the least-square method is introduced. At last, this paper presents some anti-interference measures of the hardware and software, filter arithmetics and the system debugging process.The prospective ends have been gained by debugging and testing the pyrometer, and its function is well. This instrument will offer the base for the design in the future.
