In view of frequent occurrence of shaft torsional vibration seriousfaults on large turbogenerators and general significance to measure sucha vibration form, the paper analyses the measuring method of shaft torsionalvibration based on the quick collection A/D card in the PCI slot of PC. Adetailed processing of the torsional angle signal is introduced. Meanwhilein order to ensure the continuity of data sampling, a way to process largenumbers of real time data is put forward. And the calculation process forthe inherence speciality and instantaneous response of shaft torsionalvibration by using multi-stage mass continuous shaft model is studied. Thestudy results provide a better maneuverability scheme for modeling shaftand a simple calculation model that is easy to process by program. In thefinal, it is proved to accord with the requirement of engineering calculationby calculating on a 200MW turbogenerator shafting.
