In this paper, the author studied adjacent rock stability, support parameters and excavation sequence of LongTan project by using the method of nonlinear finite element and engineering analogism. The job includes:1. Elaborating the structure of rock composition and the theory of building model about adjacent rock in detail, summarizing the general situation of geological model of underground workshops about hydroelectric stations in China, the author established the geological general model of LongTan project according to its specific geological condition by using the method of engineering analogism.2. Basing on expounding the nonlinear theory about rock and statistical analysis of constructive relations used by partial underground workshops about hydroelectric stations in China, the author used proper yielding criterion in nonlinear finite element analysis in LongTan project.3. Carried out nonlinear finite element calculation at the different of 7 operating cases for LongTan underground caves and studied the steady condition of the adjacent rock of the caves by the distribution of stress, displacement, damage district about adjacent rock and their change law during excavation.4. Carried out sensitivity analysis of distortion module, Poisson ratio and c ,
