In this paper the insulation system of HV electric machine is studied. It concludes: Studies for core insulation of stator, Studies for stator winding insulation, Studies for slot portion fixing structure of stator winding, Studies for end portion fixing structure of stator winding, and, Studies for insulation structure of rotator winding of HV electric machine.Concerned with core insulation of stator, a new type of semi-organic punching paint has been developed. It has more advantages than the organic and the water solvent semi-organic punching paint used at present. And, it can also content with Franklin's test even the thickness of the paint film reaches 4(m. At the same time, it has better covering characteristics than the water solvent semi-organic punching paint used at present. It can be used in any type of electric machines.Concerned with stator winding insulation, the insulation structure of the stator windings with internal and external cooling system is improved, and the properties of the insulation structure of stator windings are improved. Particularly, the loss factor is effectively decreased, and at the same time, the dielectric strength and accelerated electrical aging life are greatly increased. The new anti-corona structure is developed. The corona and flashover voltages are all increased.Concerned with slot portion fixing structure of stator winding, the insulated ripple rings are applied at radial direction. RTV/CRTV structure is applied between slot wall and bar. So the fixing characteristic of slot portion, thermal exchanging characteristic and electrical contacting characteristic are greatly improved.Concerned with end portion fixing structure of stator winding, the fixing ring is mainly developed. The injection resin and glass cord are used for fixing ring, so the price is decreased and the process is simpler than ever. The fixing condition and the reliability are increased. Concerned with the insulation structure rotator winding, the insulation between turns is changed with Nomex paper, and the thickness is decreased from 0.4mm to 0.26mm. The body insulation is changed by mica tape, and the thickness is decreased from 3mm~4mm to 1.3mm~1.9mm.
