Recently, there stands an upsurge to construct new campuses all over the country. New period requires new organization of teaching building in new campuses. New teaching building groups were mostly in 'complex style', which is quite different from the 'disperse style' of ones. In this thesis the two different group styles are studied, combining specific examples in domestic campus, especially examples of complex construction in new campus. It will be very helpful for the further understanding to teaching building group, and for the better designs and constructions in university campuses.Four chapters compose the thesis and two main topics are discussed. Chapter 1 demonstrates the two typical models of teaching building group and discuss the reasons. Other 3 chapters compare the two models within function setup, space organization and form presentation. The discussion is carried out in two levels--'difference' and 'consummation'. By comparing the differences of two models and demonstrating the disfigurements of campus designs, 'difference' is described. And 'consummation' is demonstrated by providing some methods, which is based on the study of 'difference', to improve the further construction of new teaching building group.
