Research On XML-based Managing Resource Of Distributed Collaborative Machine Design

Today, manufacturing is tending to larger scale and more specialization. Along with the use of information technology in manufacturing, product developing is becoming to scatter. In that background, distributed collaborative design is thought a significant method to improve efficiency of product developing between different areas. Yet, an effective and Web based distributed resource of design management system is one of important technology in actualizing distributed collaborative design.The article focuses on distributed collaborative machine design and research into managing distributed resource of machine design. After generalizing the content and characteristic of data resource of machine design, analyzing the trait and superiority of XML, the viewpoint on XML-based managing distributed resource of machine design is put forward.XML-based distributed resource of machine design management system is a sort of Web database system. In the article, constructing system framework in Web, designing resource of machine design database and machine parts data interface etc. are discussed.
