Research And Development Of Machine Design Platform Based On Network

"Course Training Software Platform for Machine Design" is a software based on the AutoCAD Customization. It is developed by DPIM's Design Engineering Institute of Tsinghua University to meet the demand of the teaching of Machine Design. The platform is used by many students and teachers and are accepted by them. But at the same time, some problems are discovered gradually such as difficulties of extension and updating.After the investigation on several kinds of machine design platforms that are used in the nowaday machine design fields, the author bring forward the importance of integrating the AutoCAD software,network technology and database technology when developing machine design platform. The rational arrangement of the function modules in the new platform is also made with the consideration of teaching demand.The technology of ActiveX, Database and Network that used in the development of the platform are discussed in the thesis in order. The modules of database operation used in Visual LISP, binary files operation and network information browser are developed. That how to rationally arrange all kinds of data and information used in design work and how to use them are introduced combined with the illustration of fastener module. The machine design platform based on network can solve the problems of extension and updating better. It is believed that this new type design platform will greatly assist the students that attend the study of machine design related courses and engineering designers to enhance their study and working efficiency.
