| We found that the development of electric machine in china has lower speed than that of abroad, comparing by the development situation of the electric machine industry. In a sense, its depends on the property of the main insulating system. So we start the research of this item which improves the electric insulating properties, corona-resistance and insulating durable, enhancing the technical index, usage durable and reliability of motors in the need of motor industry at home. Its aim is to speeden the development of electric machine industry in china.This paper describes the procedure and properties of vacuum pressure impregnating (VPI)process. It also discuss the composition, structure, properties and the requirement to application of dry-mica tape and introduces the development of impregnating resin/dry mica tape insulation system for VPI to high-voltage electric machine in china and overseas.Its research contains the preparation and technical index of application of H9110 solventless impregnating resin of the ansatured polyester-imede. It analyses reactivity of the resin by DSC and provides the research process of 9547-1 single glass cloth reinforced dry mica tape and the alteration of mica tape michines. It also characterizes the structure of H9110 solventless impregnating resin and the resin to dry mica tape by infared spectroscopy and nuclear magnetic resonance hydrogen spectroscopy. The test contains compatibility, electrical aging and dielectrical properties of the new type major insulation manufactured with H9110 impregnating resin and 9547-1 single glass cloth reinforced dry mica tape. It also contains the tests have been applied in three electric machine factories.
