Blood pressure and artery stiffness are very important physical parameters, which can reflect the enginery of human circulator system. Cardiovascluar function,heart-beat-rate,vasculaively resistance and physical states of blood are all reflected in the indices of blood pressure and artery stiffness. So measuring blood pressure and artery stiffness non-invasively is significant in clinic.On the basis of investigation on oscillometric technique for non-invasive blood pressure measurements, and combined the technique with pulse-wave theory, this paper designs a blood pressure and artery stiffness measuring apparatus, which not only can measure blood pressure and heart-beat-rate accurately, but can calculate the measurer's arterial stiffness index and vascular compliance. The apparatus provides an effective instrument for doctors to determine the measurer's cirrhosis level .The main work in this paper are as follows:① Research on the oscillometric technique and pulse-wave theory.② Put forward the whole design scheme for the measuring sysytem.③ Design and make the blood pressure and artery stiffness appartus, including the design of filter, amplifier, ADC, memorizer circuit,LCD circuit, communication interface circuit,power supply,etc.④ Research the blood pressure arithmetics and bring forward a new blood pressure judging method based on existing oscillometric technique.⑤ Put forward the method to calculate artery stiffness index based on oscillometric technique and flexibility theory of vascular wall.⑥ Research the method to calculate brachial vascular complicance. Pick up the pulse waveform which can reflect the activity of brachial artery mostly from oscillometric-wave, and analyse the waveform selected to get brachial vascular complicance.⑦ Analyse the data acquired from clinic and prove the accuracy and reliability of the appartus designed.All these studies go well.Testing data acquired from clinic displays that the apparatus can measure the blood pressure and artery stiffness accurately,itprovides reference for doctors to determine the measurer's cardiovascluar disease.
