The South-to-North Water Diversion Project (SNWDP) is an important strategic project. Modern simulation technology is one of the most efficient tools applied in the analysis and research for complicated systems. Computer simulation technology was applied to water price simulation of middle-line of SNWDP in this paper. The simulation modeling system for the middle-line project area; as well as object function, water price model and constraint model were established while the main simulation parameters were determined. At the same time, the paying-back water price model was established also. The change of water price in middle-line project area under different conditions was predicted through simulation analysis, and the influence of water price increase on the product price of relevant sectors was estimated with input-output model. The main conclusions of the paper are as follows:(1) The simulation modeling system on water price for middle-line project area was brought forward. The system was optimized with various paying schemes.(2) Residents water price, industry water price, integrated water price were calculated during the paying back period. The results show that: the water price in paying back period will obviously increase compared to present.(3)The influence of increase of water price in supplying area on the product price of relevant sectors is relatively small with input-output model, and which can be accepted.(4)The resident water price in paying back period is in acceptable range.(5)Different loan proportion has different influence on the water price, but the influence was not significant. The water resource fee, operation cost of water supplyplant and pollution controlling and treatment cost are the main portion of the water price.(6)7he water price was dynamically contacted with the water quantity and the endure ability of industry and residents for the first time, which makes the water price more reasonable.(7)The system simulation platform was established, which can treat different schemes with different design parameters timely, and the helpful reference can be provided.(8) The simulation model established in the paper can be applied not only in SNWDP, but also in other similar projects.
