Study On The Mechanism And Its Evaluation Of The Driving Information Environment In Intelligent Transportation System

The driving information environment in the intelligent transportation system (ITS) is changing, which outstandingly embodied as integrated environment of intelligent information. The information communication between the environment and drivers must adapt to the need and information processing ability of drivers, one of the critical factors is the amount of information. In order to evaluate the information load, the object defining, evaluation architecture creating and technique means selecting need to be studied further . So it is urgent and important to study on the mechanism and its evaluation of the driving information environment in ITS.Started with the study on the acquirement of intelligent driving information, this paper analyses the information processing procedure of drivers and the relative factors, including information, mentality, physiology, and the others personnel factors. Based on the above results ,this paper builds eleven indexes such as dark adaptation, mobile vision .static vision, hearing .simple response time .selective response time, attention , classified into five aspects, that is, vision, audition, energy, reaction, information. By means of the error back propagation network, this paper builds the basic evaluation model of driving information environment. At last, this paper proves that the evaluation method is worktable.According to the results of this paper, aimed at the mechanism and evaluation architecture of the driving information, it is not only to provide the foundation for reasonable presentation of information, but also to be helpful for the technological upgrading of the current transportation system and relative facilities. Thus the manager and the designer can do better in managing, harmonizing, improving and optimizing the operation and design of the system .
