Recently, as an advanced radioactive diagnostic equipment, PET-CT is largely widespread in some major diseases fields because of early diagnosis and precise positioning, such as tumor, cardiovascular system and neurological disease. With the rapid development and increasing application expansion of the PET-CT technique, the corresponding radiation protection becomes a difficult problem for the radiation researcher.As for the radiation protection design of PET-CT center, this paper introduces the Monte Carlo method, establishes the space structure model of the scanning room, simulate and calculate the radioactive process of radiation sources, then gain the distribution of its dose field in the space, and verify the correctness of applications of the Monte Carlo simulation to the radiation protection. In comparison with the theoretical calculation results, we can get the most optimized protective thickness of the scanning room, aimed at protecting all the participants in the process. Owning to the advantage of the good analysis and simulation to the complex structure, we are able to further make the radiation protection design of some typical ancillary equipment in the radioactive process.
