Gantry crane as one of the main Conveying machinery, its lifting a range from a few meal to dozens of tons of hundreds of tons of even thousands of tons, are widely used in mines, station, port, power stations, and other industries. Along with the development of national economy, and make it in social production and living the application fields such as expanded. This paper studies the 120-ton gantry crane the weight of steel structure Accounts for a considerable proportion of the whole weight, occupies an important position in system design.This paper studies the gantry crane at home and abroad and the research level and development trends, according to the design requirements of gantry crane steel structure design had a thorough theoretical study, has carried on the theory design. And by using ANSYS software simulation, obtained the strength, stiffness and stability and the modal analysis. On this basis, use of genetic algorithm establish the optimization mathematical model of girders structure of gantry crane and optimized, complete gantry crane girders optimization design of sectional dimensions, and analysis the optimum result, modeling and analysis in ANSYS again, compared the analysis results with the results were before optimization, and verifies the optimized structure strength, stiffness and stability and inherent frequency. Based on the theory and practice, this paper specific content is divided into the following several parts:â‘ Analysis and study on the characteristics of gantry cranes working equipments, design and study on 120-ton gantry crane steel structure to sure crane girders and a leg each design parameters. Proposed overall design scheme of gantry crane.With finite element analysis software ANSYS as the platform, establish three-dimensional entity model of the gantry crane, analyzing from statics of gantry crane, in six of the most dangerous working condition of statics finite element analysis, in accordance with the requirements of the "Design rules for cranes", validated the strength,stiffness and stability.â‘¡According to the structure characteristics of gantry crane, properly simplified girder structure of crane , with the weight of single crane girder as objective function, the intensity and rigidity of the rods as constraint conditions, to build the optimization mathematical model of girder, the use of genetic algorithms are optimized calculation. Get all the optimal value of the design variables, reached optimization purposes. â‘¢According to related steel parameters rounder the results of the genetic algorithm optimize analysis, build the finite element model again,again in ANSYS simulation analysis. Validation gantry crane strength, stiffness and stability and compared the analysis and optimization results with before, the optimized overall weight than the weight of the before optimization reduced by 11.4 per cent.The paper based on the optimization design method and the finite element analysis,made certain improvement and exploration of the design method of existing crane machine , for the crane design and optimization provides certain auxiliary and reference function. This paper in the final puts forward several of the problems that need further research in the future.
