Wind power are widely used around the world for it's clean and renewable advantages, in currently wind power generation system, power electronics technology and control strategy has been matured and a lot of technology has been used in wind power generation system, so electromagnetic interference (EMI) and electromagnetic pollution caused by power electronic devices are more and more serious, which has gradually become the main harmonic source. To solve this problem, this paper mainly to complete this task in two ways.At the first of the paper, the development situation of wind power generation system and its control technologies are introduced; mathematical model of the wind turbine of small scale direct drive wind power generation system was described and circuit model of DC Shunt Motor and armature-excited DC generator were built. In this paper random modulation technology was presented, it researched the structure and control strategy of the sine wave inverter which suit for explanting the random modulation technology, it also analyzed the possibility and improving methods of using the technology in wind power generation simulation system. The principle of the DC-DC Boost converter was researched.Small scale direct drive wind power generation simulation system based on high-performance AVR series microcontroller was designed at the final of the paper, including the DC-DC Boost converter, the sine wave inverter, and applied the random modulation technology in the sine wave inverter successfully. The experimental results confirmed that the random modulation technology can reduce the EMI in the wind power generation systems, and the feasibility of the control methods which presented in this paper.
