Stirling engine is a piston engine which is heated by external heatsource and works on stirling cycle. The characteristics of high efficiency, low noise, no environment and regional restrictions make it a broad application prospects. Especially for underwater power, station power and such special occasions, stirling engine has more unique advantage. Electronic-control fuel system is one core of Stirling engine combustion system, and the reliability directly affects the stirling engine operating condition. Because the Stirling engine usually is used in some special occasions, so improving the reliability is particularly important. To improve the reliability of electronic-control fuel system, it is necessary to research the failure safety strategy.The stirling engine electronic-control fuel system based on speed control is composed of servo motor system, high-pressure pump, oil storage, cyclone fuel nozzles, flow sensor, pressure sensor , and the electronic control unit etc. Based on the upper computer's setting signal, ECU control the system's oil supply by used the speed of servo motor to regulate the oil delivered to accumulator.The paper has discussed the work pattern and control strategy of the stirling engine electronic control fuel system. and the main control software of fuel system has improved. Some possible failure forms of the electronic-control fuel system were inductive and analyzed, and based on the classification,the paper has proposed the corresponding safety strategy. The paper has discussed some typical fault diagnosis methods, and combining with the system characteristics, puts forward the online real-time failure diagnosis method based on the sensor parameters. Failure safety processing software has compiled. The fuel control system scheme contrast test, system control effects test, and set flow signal failure safety strategy validation test are all be done. According to the test results, the best system control scheme- based on the speed control scheme has selected.And it is better realized precise control of the fuel system.And the safety measures of set flow signal failures had be , too.
