Based on the metal belt type variator as the research object, this article uses the fuzzy reliability theory to have a design research of transmission system, this explores a new design method.Analyzing the basic structure and transmission principle of metal V-belt continuously variable transmission, calculation formulas of mechanical efficiency and the belt deviation are presented. According to the stress and strength interference theory, this paper analyses the reliability calculation method of metal V-belt continuously variable transmission. Based on the fuzzy reliability theory, this paper deduces calculation formula of belt wheel and metal belt contact fatigue strength, metal ring stress and fatigue strength fuzzy reliability, finally, using the first order second moment method the paper calculation example of the reliability.Because efficiency of the metal v-belt cvt transmission is low and the metal belt is damaged easily, based on satisfing their provisions in the reliability requirements . volume, reliability and efficiency as optimized object, oil film thickness, minimum bandwidth, most pouches angle and the center distance as constraint conditions, the paper establishs multi-objective fuzzy reliability optimal mathematical model of a metal V-belt cvt.Utilizing MATLAB, the paper uses adaptive crossover and mutation operators and simulation annealing algorithm to improve NSGA-II algorithm, and uses multi-objective multi-objective hybrid genetic algorithm to draw up optimum reliability procedures of metal V-belt cvt, it gets a non-inferior optimal solution set, the result is satisfactory.
