Gear in industry applications, including aerospace, automotive, marine, metallurgy, construction machinery, etc., with the machinery and equipment to overload, large, high speed development requirements, machinery and equipment is also proceeding with continually improving, to adapt to the changing requirements of development. Gear transmission as the main mechanical equipment of gearing is constantly improving, where transmission smoothness, high load capacity, big coincidence, long life and high reliability is a gear-driven, so now there is an urgent need to improve the performance and efficiency to meet industry needs. Gear contact pattern, shape and location and size will directly reflect the performance of contact gears, therefore, to improve the performance of the first contact with the gear to get the appropriate contact area, shape and location and size.This topic is to study a new type of gear - on the number of spiral bevel gears, tooth contact area of the shape, position and size. Logarithmic spiral bevel gear on the logarithmic spiral as the gear to the line, a new type of logarithmic spiral bevel gear form, and a systematic study of spiral bevel gear tooth contact performance, introduction of spiral bevel gear tooth contact analysis of the principle of access to the ideal number of spiral bevel gear on the contact zone location, shape and size of the result.
