In the various systems of modern aircraft, air-conditioning system plays an important role in the aspects of ensuring the safety of crew, passengers, structures and equipments at a high altitude. Once it fails, the consequences will be very serious. So the maintenance and support work of aircraft air-conditioning system was supported by a high degree of attention. Failure of the aircraft air-conditioning system has a characteristic of multiple, repetitive, and complex, etc. Therefore, the efficien fault diagnosis and troubleshooting of it has been a problem in civil aviation service area. In this context, a system has been urgently required to convergent the previous troubleshooting experience, simulate the the phenomenon of in-flight failure, guide the troubleshooting practice, and train the troubleshooting skills.In response to these needs, this thesis efforts to carry out theoretical and experimental study on the computer modeling and fault simulation of aircraft air-conditioning system. With the computer simulation technology and artificial intelligence techniques, a troubleshooting simulation system of aircraft air-conditioning system was developed, to achieve the goals of the system performance analysis, fault reproducing and trouble-shooting training of air-conditioning system components, subsystems and even the entire system. After nearly a year of efforts, this study achieved the following results: (1) the basic principles and common faults of modern aircraft air-conditioning system were analysed, a large number of crew report and airline maintenance data was collected, the failure characteristics was In-depth studied; (2) with the mechanism modeling, based on the modeling of the basic components and subsystems, a system components-level model was established; (3) with the identification modeling, a Case-faulttree Model of aircraft air-conditioning system was established, to simulate the faults law and troubleshooting mechanism of air-conditioning system; (4) combining with these two models, a softwere prototype named Auxiliary Troubleshooting and Maintenance Simulation System of Aircraft Air-conditioning was developed.
