The Research And Practice Of The Competency-Based Education Mode On Bringing Up Talents In Major Of Highway And Bridge Engineering

The personnel majoring in highway and bridge engineering is in great need due to the rapid and extensive progress of the construction projects, thus making a higher requirement for the professional in need. And the progress of the Higher Technical and Vocational Education in turn makes the reform in all kinds of college badly demand, thus creating a sound environment for the students'progress.The thesis titled The research and practice of the Competency-Based Education mode on bringing up talents in major of Highway and Bridge Engineering aims at employing the law of professionals development into the training of the personnel, and setting up scientific talents mechanism to meet the needs of the developing of enterprise.The thesis firstly analysis the causes which leads to the failure of the reform in the Highway and Bridge Engineering Major of the six selected National Model Higher Vocational College. Then based on the professional talent demand survey and the employment prospect analysis, the thesis attempts to explore the characteristics of the aimed professional ability of this major, so as to define the training objective, the knowledge and ability structure and training methods. To reconstruct curriculum system and determine the teaching contents, this article further evaluates its current discipline curriculum system, modular courses system, and working process oriented courses system. Then from John Biggs'3P model and the quality of higher vocational college students, a set of student-centered teaching principle is put forward, in which the Motivation Design mode named ARCS to stimulate the students'intention, with the Contextual Teaching and Learning of CORD to improve the learning efficiency. On this basis and according to the author's previous experience, this article evaluates some common teaching methods and introduces some teaching design.After the advice on basic education resources being presented, the thesis set up the rules and principles, and analysis the designing, ideas and effects of the general testing formula; and then propose the suggesting on how to. the thesis ends up with the conclusion and suggestion of the method to the education revolution, and sums up the theme of the whole passage.It shows that the mode based on Competency-Based Education is more likely to meet the professional requirement by the enterprises from the practice of our college. I hope this thesis will be useful as a reference of the training code reform in the Higher Technical and Vocational Education.
